Bio:

So here we go: As a foundling in the wastes he was thrown in as food (either purposefully or accidentally) for a newly hatched clutch of thri-kreen. Being eaten (he has a ruined cheek and scar running down to his throat to attest to this) was enough to shock his psionic ability into manifesting. After defending himself from his “brothers” long enough to prove he wasn’t food, he eventually came to be raised as one of their own.
Unfortunately, the abbreviated lifespan of thri-kreen meant he’d outlive his clutchmates, so rather than leaving him to survive alone in the desert there followed a tearful (or insectile equivalent) goodbye near the outskirts of Tyr; rocks were thrown; if you love something set it free, etc, etc.
